Friday, January 10, 2014---930 Words---Average Reading Time: 3 Minutes, 11 Seconds. (A pointless waste of time---time frittered away)
Offending readers and hindering productivity one issue at a time since 2001.
Continuing to call them as I see them.
Virtually free of original ideas.
Warning: Contains unsound bites from the apple of life.
Often wrong…never in doubt.
If you want this in a different language…move to a country that speaks it!
Gluten Free.
Completely biased.
Don’t forget to floss.
Low carb.

Rave: Angie Harmon.
+++++++
Reading: “Easy Go” by Michael Crichton writing as John Lange.
+++++++
On the Hi Fi: Toni Tennille “Sings Big Band.”
+++++++
Under rated: Warren Oates
+++++++
Rave: The new year is off to a promising start thanks to the news that Alex Rodriguez has discarded his plans to write a book.
+++++++
Quote: “Even if you are making art, you’ve still got to get behind the mule every morning and plow.”—Tom Waits.
+++++++
TV Time Out: “Justified” started season five took off with an explosive premiere. Dazzling dialog…solid sense of place…characters that feel so real on screen you feel they all deserve their own spin-off…just a few of the things I loved on Tuesday’s show.
+++++++
Rave: Dana Perino is one tough cookie.
+++++++
Rave: XM’s 40s on 4 is the cat’s meow.
+++++++
Quote: “When a guy does something stupid once, well that’s because he’s a guy. But, if he does the same stupid thing twice, that’s usually to impress some girl.”—Dr. Seuss.
+++++++
Truism: No matter how slow your progress, you are beating everyone who isn’t making an effort.
+++++++
Hmmm: Doubt that you will hear the word “smart” used to describe an NFL player…but they sure can dance.
+++++++
TV Time Out II: The return of “Person of Interest” kicked ass with guns blazing. Shaw and Root are wonderful chicks with guns…perhaps the sexiest women on TV---along with Rachel Zane.
So much happened in Tuesday’s episode. Everyone is after The Machine…Finch and Reese now face Decima, in addition to Vigilance and Control.
And, we learned there are now two Machines.
+++++++

In passing: Phil Everly voice is now with the angels. He and his brother Don were {are} a major influence on a lot of artists…legendary and otherwise.
+++++++
Quote: “obama is never happier than when he’s putting off until tomorrow what he hopes someone else will do for him today.”—Burt Prelutsky.
+++++++
You Know You’re Old: If you remember when the only one-and-done college athletes were either expelled or flunked out.
+++++++
Hmmm: Revenge is a really good motivator.
+++++++
Rant: I take Art Carney far more seriously than Jay Carney.
+++++++
Truism: Influence lasts ten times longer than power.
+++++++
TV Time Out III: The return of “White Collar” packed a wallop. Only two episodes remain and the assassination of the Dutchman complicates things geometrically.
Just who is stalking the White Collar Division…who shot the Dutchman…and just who is Rebecca really? What’s the interpretation of Mosconi Codex?
So many questions---so little time to answer or leave you hanging.
+++++++
Rave: The “Burn Notice” marathon on ion-Television on New Year’s Day was a huge treat.
+++++++
I Wish: That TV play-by-play announcers will remember that we can see what is going on and that they will consider the possibility that their redundant chatter is neither welcome nor needed.
+++++++
Rant: Well, at least FedEx, UPS & Target ADMITTED the problems while the obama regime says 1) there's no problem, 2) you misunderstood or 3) it's George Bush's fault!!!!!
+++++++
Hmmm: Isn’t being Politically Correct nothing more that an acceptable form of lying.
+++++++
TV Time Out IV: Monday wraps up the current season of “Major Crimes.” Looks like the long awaited trail will start…but there are so many ways this could go, I can’t wait to see what direction it takes.
+++++++
You Know You’re Old: If you remember back to when cable first began and you thought you were going to get commercial-free television.
+++++++
Great tee shirt: “Yes, I hate your favorite team.”
+++++++
Just asking: Doesn’t it seem like PC goes out of fashion the moment it costs money to be so.
+++++++
Quote: “Commentators like to decry low-information voters—the stupid are picking our leaders. I think the real problem is low-information leaders. They have so little experience of life and have so much faith in magic—in media, in words—that they don’t understand people will get angry at you when you mislead them, and never see you the same way again.”—Peggy Noonan
+++++++
Rave: College football’s best name belongs to Navy’s safety Wave Ryder.
+++++++
Final TV Time Out: “Suits” returns on March 6th. I love Rachel Zane.
+++++++
Hmmm: Kale was crowned the veggie of the year…actually not as bad as I figured it would be.
+++++++
Truth: Alex Rodriguez could not possibly be more phony if his last name was Kardashian.
+++++++
Quote: “What obamacare has done, thanks to Chief Justice Roberts' Supreme Court decision, is reduce us all from free citizens to cowed subjects, whom the federal government can order around in our own personal lives, in defiance of the 10th Amendment and all the other protections of our freedom in the Constitution of the United States.”---Economist Thomas Sowell.
+++++++
Guess Work: Just how many ESPN employees are allowed to call themselves “NFL insiders?”
+++++++
Final Thought: Full disclosure---I have never been ever to watch “Lawrence of Arabia” in its entirety. One of those great things, I just don’t get.
+++++++
