Curmudgeon in the Political Wry 1

2/4/09---400 Words, Average reading time: 1 Minute, 31 Seconds.
A Life in the Slow Lane Production.
Often wrong…never in doubt.
Created because there is so much not to like about obama, his staff and regime.
+++++++
This just in: Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) is facing new questions about why he has not disclosed any royalty income on his 2007 memoir.
+++++++
Truism: It’s a safe bet that obama will not receive any awards from H&R Block.
+++++++
Rant: Ignorance of the law is no excuse when the average American worker is taken to task by the IRS…but it is good enough for obama.
+++++++
My view: Rahm Emanual is a vampire.
+++++++
Quote: “I will use whatever position I have in order to root out hypocrisy. I’m not going to be lectured as a Democrat---we’ve got some pretty strong moral values in my party, and maybe we ought to do a better job standing up and fighting for them.” ---Howard Dean.
+++++++++
Rave: Another entertaining article by P.J. O’Rourke that will have you nodding in agreement.
“The Next Big Stink.”
+++++++
Hmmm: Joe “Hairplugs” Biden pontificated that it was the patriotic duty of Americans to support higher taxes. Does that mean that Daschle and Geithner should be tried for treason?
Lest we forget, Biden is the guy who donated an average of $369 to charity over the previous decade.
+++++++
Quote: “Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter.” ---Tom Daschle, aka Daschle the dodger, 1998.
+++++++
Cheese and whine: The whiner-in-chief scolded Republicans not to listen to Rush…a very unpresidential action. What do you suppose the New York Times would have said had George W. Bush has cried about Keefe Overbite and Chris Matthews?
+++++++
Quote: “I think it (obama’s Rush whine) points to a neurosis on the part of democrats. By defining themselves more by who they oppose rather than who they are, they found themselves lost without an enemy.” —Michelle Malkin.
+++++++
Rave: Michael Steele really gets it. Unlike John McCain (who thought the NYT was his friend), Michael understands that the Republican base is conservative talk radio. Sarah Palin also gets that point.
+++++++
Rant: obama’s press secretary, Robert Gibbs, is in way over his head---very ScottMcKellenesque.
+++++++
